Love Your Watershed: December Edition

On December 17, TTF hosted our final 2011 Love Your Watershed Event in Tacony Creek Park. A great group of community members came out to learn about the watershed, look for birds, and enjoy the brisk December morning.

Dan Efroymson led a group of people to look for birds along a section of the Tacony Creek. We learned about bird calls and silhouettes, both useful ways to help identify birds. Highlights of the walk included a Red-shouldered Hawk, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Eastern Towhee, and Dark-eyed Juncos. TTF will submit a list of sightings to the Wyncote Audubon Society to be included in their compilation for this year.
