Directions:
The Awbury Arboretum is in Germantown on Chew Ave near the intersection with Washington Lane.
Driving from Jenkintown::
Head south on Washington Lane. Turn left on Chew Ave (the first light after Ardleigh Street). After crossing under a railroad bridge, turn left into Awbury Arboretum (look for the signs).
Driving from Mt. Airy:
Head southeast on Germantown Ave. Turn left on E. Mt Airy Ave, and make the first right on Chew Ave. Follow Chew Ave for about a mile, crossing Washington Ln. After crossing under a railroad bridge, turn left into Awbury Arboretum (look for the signs).
Driving from Northeast Philadelphia:
From Roosevelt Blvd and Adams Ave, head west on Adams Ave. Turn left onto Tabor Rd. Take the third right onto E. Olney Ave. Bear left to stay on Olney Ave (turns into Chew Ave at LaSalle University). Turn right into Awbury Arboretum (Awbury Rd).
From SEPTA Regional Rail:
Take the Chestnut Hill East line to the Washington Lane Station. (If you are on an inbound train, you will need to cross the tracks after getting off by walking under the railroad bridge and up to the outbound platform). Look for the Awbury Arboretum and “Unlitter Us” signs at the chained-off driveway (Station Lane). This entrance is adjacent to the SEPTA parking area. Follow the driveway up the hill through the Arboretum to the Francis Cope House.
From the Broad Street Subway:
Exit the subway at the Olney Transportation Center. Cross Olney Avenue and take the 18 West bus towards Cedarbrook Mall. Exit at High Street and look for the sign for Awbury Arboretum on your right. Enter the Arboretum and follow the driveway up to the Francis Cope House, bearing left at the first fork and right at the second.
