Wyncote/Glenside

The Wyncote/Glenside Model Neighborhood Project is a program for neighborhood beautification, environmental education, and community inspiration that centers on clean water issues. TTF is collaborating with neighborhood schools and community groups to create opportunities for workshops, classes, tours, volunteer stewardship activities, new plantings, educational signs and landscaping projects that help manage stormwater runoff, connect residents to their local waterway, and beautify the neighborhood while raising awareness about watershed issues.

Current projects in the Wyncote/Glenside Model Neighborhood include:

Location
This Model Neighborhood spans both the Wyncote and Glenside neighborhoods. Cedarbrook Middle School, Glenside Elementary School and Arcadia University are just a few of the participating institutions. Among our recent projects are ethical electronics recycling drives, a campus rain garden installation and an extensive creekside native planting project. Every single neighborhood resident stands to benefit from this community-wide effort, and everyone can participate!
