Over 30 volunteer coordinators from local colleges and community organizations met at the Awbury Arboretum for the second annual Community Service Networking Breakfast hosted by TTF and the Awbury Arboretum.
After breakfast and networking, attendees were welcomed by Beth Miner, Awbury’s Director of Outreach and Community Engagement, who described the Arboretum’s history and upcoming events. Julie Slavet, TTF’s Executive Director and Alix Howard, Director of Education and Outreach outlined TTF’s numerous volunteer opportunities for 2013. Following the meeting, Beth led a walking tour of the Arboretum.
TTF works to enhance the health and vitality of our watershed through education, outreach, and restoration projects. The breakfast provided an opportunity for community organizations and colleges to learn about how their organizations and students can become involved in and benefit from TTF’s watershed programs.
