This winter, TTF is hosting three interns — Emily and Ryan are new, while Emma is a TTF veteran — who all share an a concern for the environment and educational backgrounds in Environmental Studies.

Interns focus on maximizing TTF’s community outreach for new and existing programs.  As spring and summer approach, they will help with our annual events including the Health Trails 5k and Watershed Milestones Award Ceremony & Reception. They’re looking forward to being involved in various projects within the watershed. We’re grateful to have so many hard working young people devote their time, energy, and skills to our critical cause!

Meet these interns:

Ryan is in his last semester of college at Rowan University in the field of Environmental Studies, and is excited about the environmental work experience he is gaining at TTF. He has been updating and maintaining the TTF contact database, as well as assisting staff with projects and tasks. He learned about TTF through volunteering with his father’s company on a TTF clean up effort at Vernon Park. It has been an enjoyable journey for him every step of the way.

Emily is a recent Penn State graduate with a degree in Environmental Resource Management. She hopes to continue her education in Environmental Engineering in the Philadelphia area. She has recently focused on tracking and thanking donors and volunteers using GiftWorks. This effort is so important to enable us to expand our fundraising and volunteer base.

Ryan, Emily, and Emma are key to helping us ensure that events run smoothly — and they all enjoy our work out and about in our watershed.
