Last Thursday, TTF’s Doryán De Angel and Robin Irizarry met up with the Artology crew from BuildaBridge International in Tacony Creek Park.  The fun started at the park’s I St. and Ramona Ave. gateway, where the young folks led us in a drum circle and songs.

We enjoyed some light yoga in the shade before getting to work assembling the Artology Rainwater Arch, a temporary art installation that the Artologists had been working on prior to our visit.  The colorful arch was made from recycled bottles that had been painted and joined together to create a rainwater collector, symbolic of the Tookany/Takony-Frankford watershed and the rain water cycle.

This get together wrapped up the last of our summer Tacony Creek Park Thursdays with this crew, but we’re sure they’ll be back for more fun and adventures in Tacony Creek Park in the future! Thanks BuildaBridge!
