At TTF, we know that having an office in Globe Dye Works means we’re surrounded by artistic talent…from jewelers to painters (and cupcake makers!) This past weekend, the 15th Annual Philadelphia Open Studio Tours (POST) gave tenants a chance display their work and open their studio doors throughout the building to art enthusiasts.
We saw POST as the perfect opportunity to tie the arts and environment together by hosting our first “Open Studios/Open House: Art Meets Environment.” We invited people to check out our office, meet our staff and visit with the artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
We turned our office into a gallery showcasing our Streamkeepers Program, creekside buffer plantings, rain gardens, and Tacony Creek Park activities including bird and nature walks. Our Community Watershed Specialist (Upstream), Alex Cooper, used live specimens (eek!) to give visitors a macroinvertebrates lesson. Those little bugs are do say a lot about the health of a creek!

Board members, volunteers and sponsors networked over beer from Philadelphia Brewing Company and goodies from Earth Bread + Brewery and Cake Life Bake Shop! We encouraged people to explore the Globe Dye Works building and say hi to our talented neighbors, like Marianne Dages of Huldra Press. See other Globe artists listed here.
This wonderful get-together couldn’t have been possible without the support of our sponsors:

Stay tuned for our even more fabulous Open House during next year’s POST!
