On Friday, October 20th, over 200 people watched Disney’s Moana under the stars in Tacony Creek Park! Not only was it a beautiful evening, but it was also Tacony Creek Park’s very first movie night, thanks to the Tacony Creek Park Keepers – the park’s volunteer Friends Group.
This event was one of the final River Days events of the year, a celebration across the Delaware Valley tri-state region put on by the Alliance for Watershed Education. Many thanks to Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and Fairmount Park Conservancy for sponsoring this event and setting up the movie. We are grateful that Tacony Creek Park was chosen as one of the host locations for this wonderful program. We look forward to it again next year!
Special shout out to TCP Keepers – Kim, Pamela, Judy, and the Alvarez Family – who helped organize and make this event a success.
And on behalf of TTF and the TCP Keepers – we want to thank you ALL for coming and spending time with us – we hope to see you again soon!
If you didn’t get a chance to meet the TCP Keepers and would like to get involved, sign up here or simply join us for Love Your Park Service Day on November 4th at I St and Ramona Ave.
