It’s tree giveaway time again! This fall, we are excited to be partnering with Riverfront North, the Arbor Day Foundation, and Bank of America to bring trees to Frankford!
We’ll host our tree giveaway on Saturday, October 16 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Womrath Park, located at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Womrath Street.
Reserve your tree by filling out this form!
When you arrive on pickup day, we’ll give your tree, a bag of mulch, and information about how to care for your tree.
This is a PICKUP EVENT ONLY so please bring a vehicle large enough to transport the tree. The trees are not full-size and will be between 4 to 6 feet tall.
Here are the trees that are available:
Sourwood: A medium-sized native tree with white flowers that bloom in the summer. They can grow 20-50 feet tall which makes them an excellent shade tree.
Elderberry: A small-sized fruit tree with edible white flowers that turn into edible purple berries. The berries traditionally are used to boost the immune system. They grow 10-20 feet tall.
Sassafras: A medium-sized native tree with bright red and orange fall color. They grow 30-60 feet tall.
Methley Plum: A small-sized fruit tree with plums and edible flowers. They grow 15-20 feet tall and need to be pruned yearly.

Eastern Redbud: A small-sized native tree. Its pink flowers are edible and taste like peas. It grows 15-30 feet tall.
