2024 Block Party at Ramona Ave Gateway

We are thrilled to have hosted a series of Block Parties in Tacony Creek Park to kick off the summer! We were excited to bring back water ice, pretzels, and a face painter this year, adding extra fun to our sunny celebrations.

Summer Block Party Day ONE 6/18/2024

Three beautiful days welcomed our events, and thanks to our amazing partners and friends, we offered a variety of outdoor activities for all ages. Here are some highlights:

Mini Pop-Up Bike Park: Kids and adults alike enjoyed free bike rides along the trail, promoting healthy outdoor fun.

Motivos Magazine Eco-Art Contest: We announced the winners of the Eco-Art Contest, celebrating creative works made from natural and recycled materials. A big thank you to Motivos Magazine for partnering with us on this inspiring project!

Summer Block Party Day Two 6/19/2024

TTF teamed up with Motivos Magazine — a bilingual culturally-based inspirational magazine that empowers youth to make informed choices about life, college, and career options — to offer $350 in cash prizes for 3D eco-art using natural elements (ex. nuts, sticks, dried flowers, feathers, etc.) and/or recycled or upcycled materials (ex. cardboard, plastic bottles, etc.), inspired by the beauty of the natural world and being good stewards of our green and blue spaces.

Other activities included free foraging walks, button making, learning how to cast a fishing rod, and arts and crafts!
