Temple University will be introducing a new citizen science monitoring program to measure stream temperatures throughout the Wissahickon, Pennypack, Tookany/Tacony-Frankford, Poquessing, and Darby Creek Watersheds.
Learn why temperature is an important indicator of stream health, how land cover can impact stream temperature, and how we will use the data that volunteers help collect. In an interactive demonstration, participants will learn how to use their smart phone to download stream temperature data.
