We will test the Creek’s water for pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Turbidity, and other factors that tell us if the water is “healthy” or not. You will learn how to use a dichotomous key, which will help you identify Creek organisms we find. Wear boots or old shoes: we’ll be walking in a shallow part of the Creek.
We host Nature’s Hidden Surprises walks every second Wednesday of the month from 10:30am – 12:00pm at the Tacony Creek Park gateway at the intersection of East Loudon Street and Whitaker Avenue, led by environmental educator Judith Gratz. The same walk is also hosted on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the same time.
