Get ready to get your feet wet! We’ll be walking in a shallow area of the creek to find out what kind of creatures are hiding under the rocks and swimming in the water. You will learn how to use a dichotomous key to identify the “critters” and why creek organisms help us understand the health of a creek. Wear old sneakers or boots!
Nature’s Hidden Surprises walks happen every second Wednesday of the month from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at Tacony Creek Park’s Whitaker Gateway, and are led by environmental educator, Judith Gratz.
Walk-ins are welcome, but RSVPs are appreciated; please contact Doryán at doryan@ttfwatershed.org or 215-744-1853.
