Welcome to the Philadelphia City Nature Challenge!

Between Friday, April 26 and Monday, April 29, 2019, Philadelphia and its adjacent counties will be competing against other cities in the world to see who can find the most wildlife species in their regions in the span of 4 days.

Participating counties include:

  • Philadelphia County, PA
  • Delaware County, PA
  • Montgomery County, PA
  • Bucks County, PA
  • Camden County, NJ
  • Gloucester County, NJ
  • Burlington County, NJ

If you are interested in contributing and helping Philly win, download the iNaturalist app (or visit the website) and start documenting the wildlife in your area anytime between April 26 – 29!

You can also visit Philly’s project page to see the latest observations as they come in. Visit www.cncphilly.org for more details.

*TTF’s week-long, Watershed-wide Bioblitz overlaps in part with the City Nature Challenge. Any observations made during our Bioblitz that fall within the April 26 – 29 window will automatically contribute to the Philly City Nature Challenge. Explore with the app at home or join us in during one of our guided events to participate in the fun!
