Northeast Philadelphia

City agencies, especially Philadelphia Parks & Recreation and the Philadelphia Water Department, are working to improve the Tacony Creek Park area so that neighbors have safer and healthier places to live, work, and play.

The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership supports Tacony Creek Park improvement efforts by inspiring watershed stewardship in the following ways:

  • Connecting local residents to their park
  • Holding educational workshops and lessons for all ages
  • Leading tours and nature walks in the park
  • Organizing community cleanups and other volunteer events
  • Initiating projects that manage, clean, and collect rainwater
