The CBNC has partnered with a Mathematical Engineer and the Math Departments of the Drexel and LaSalle Universities to bring free educational opportunities to the community. To take advantage of this magnificent opportunity, contact the CBNC ASAP to get registered for a January 29, 2011 Assessment Test.

➢ Assists ex-offenders in getting employment.
Youth:
➢ Established the “Adopt the Children/Young Adults on Our Block” campaign for neighbors to create a safe haven for children on their blocks. This helps to stop bullying and fighting after school.

Environment:
➢ Collaborates with and has been selected by, the City’s Philadelphia More Beautiful Committee Program as one of Philadelphia’s first models of its Urban Green Initiative.

➢ Partners with the Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed Partnership and Awbury Park Association for the planting of trees in our neighborhood.
In order to insure the continuation of these and other important projects, it is important for residents to support the CBNC’s efforts through attendance at community meetings and volunteering your time and talents. Beginning January, 2011 (1/26/2011), community meetings will be held on the last Wednesday of each month, at the Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library located at: 68 W.
