Welcome, Ariel!
TTF’s new intern, Ariel Murphy, jumped right in and got her feet wet at a freshwater mussel surveying event in Tacony Creek Park. Ariel joins us from Arcadia University where she majors in Communications with a concentration in Print.
Ariel spent five weeks this summer hiking in Australia and New Zealand, as part of a class called “Ethics, Culture and Sustainability: Australia and New Zealand.” While there, she learned about environmental issues, aboriginal healing practices, and cultural differences from the Western world. Last semester, Ariel volunteered with TTF through the class “Social Action and Social Change.”
In the office, Ariel is helping with event prep and our communications projects. She looks forward to implementing environmentally friendly practices and cleaning up the area she lives in now so that later in life she can work to solve environmental problems on a larger scale. We are pleased to welcome Ariel to our office!
