Milestones: Recognizing our Watershed Heroes

On Wednesday, May 25, we celebrated our 5th Annual Watershed Milestones Awards & Reception with over 200 friends, guests, sponsors, and honorees. It was an inspirational evening of celebrating the year’s achievements with heroes from across our entire TTF community!

We were especially proud that Globe Dye Works owner Pete Kelly welcomed us and that Water Commissioner McCarty shared her encouraging words about our work. Thank you to Anthony Bellmon of Representative Boyle‘s office and Elizabeth Trout of Representative Steve McCarter‘s office for bringing certificates of recognition for our heroes.

For our TTF Nonprofit Steward Award, we were proud to honor Abington Friends School and Solid Rock United Methodist Church. These two organizations and their communities have demonstrated their commitment to our watershed — read more about them here.

Our TTF Legacy Award went to both Fred Maurer of the Friends of Tacony Creek Park and Wyncote Audubon Society (WAS). Both Fred and WAS have demonstrated a long time commitment to our watershed and their efforts will have a lasting impact — read about them here.
