Thank you, volunteers!

This year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service was a busy day for TTF! Our team was in two places at once:

Downstream in Tacony Creek Park: Over 30 volunteers joined us to pick up trash in Tacony Creek Park. Afterwards, we all enjoyed some pizza and learned about our watershed.

Upstream at Abington Friends School and Meetinghouse: Our volunteers helped us build pollinator hotels! These pollinator hotels will be placed at a variety of TTF’s rain gardens and riparian buffers to provide habitat for solitary mason bees, beetles, and other helpful bugs that pollinate flowers.

A day of Pollinator Hotels and watershed education!

We’re so thankful to the volunteers who spent their time with us on these projects! To volunteer with us in the future, take a look at our upcoming events or learn more about our other volunteer opportunities.
