We are seeking Walk with Me leaders to lead daily walking groups in Tacony Creek Park! These individuals are not just walking leaders, they are “Trail Ambassadors.” We currently provide a walk each Saturday…neighbors and park users have told us that they’d like to walk regularly on weekdays and Sundays, including in the afternoon.
Our Walk with Me and (Run with Me) leaders share the following traits:
A love of being outdoors and exploring, and the desire to look forward to new experiences and adventures. As an ambassador for the trail specifically, you should be able to point the way to enjoy on the Tacony Creek Park Trail and encourage others to discover the same journey.
A love of people that can propel you to meet and greet new faces. Learn the group’s interests and encourage them to be excited about connecting as community members.
A dedication to the Tacony Creek Park community that will connect you to neighbors who use the trail – but also to live alongside them, showing that the same appreciation for running the trail is not only doable for this neighborhood but also a great privilege and highlight of life right here in the city.

Tacony Creek Park Community Trail Ambassador: Walking Group Organizer/Leader
Tacony Creek Park Community Trail Ambassadors (TAs) will serve as park guides and stewards, welcoming and inviting community members into the park. The Trail Ambassador will serve as a Tacony Creek Park Walking Group Organizer. The “Walk with Me” Organizer will fulfill the following duties and expectations:
— Recruiting for and promoting the Tacony Creek Park walking group, “Walk with Me”
— Scheduling and leading weekly 1 hour long-walking group activities on the Tacony Creek Park trail
— Documenting attendance and reporting names and contact information of attendees to TTF
Terms of employment: This is a flexible Part-Time position with a minimum 3 month commitment; minimum 2-3 hours per week for each walk, including time spent connecting with the community (outreach and canvassing).This position does not provide benefits.
Rate: $15/hr, paid monthly subject to deductions for taxes and other withholding as required by law or TTF policies
