This November, TTF Watershed Partnership hosted our 13th Annual Watershed Milestones Ceremony at the iconic Globe Dye Works, bringing together community members, environmental advocates, and partners to honor six extraordinary leaders. These honorees, each an inspiring force for positive change, have been instrumental in advancing our mission to protect and revitalize the TTF watershed. Their dedication is a beacon, guiding our collective journey towards a healthier, more vibrant watershed.
The event was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections. Attendees enjoyed an evening of great food, community games, and the chance to celebrate the accomplishments of individuals whose work has shaped Tacony Creek Park and beyond. Each honoree’s story underscored a commitment to community engagement, environmental stewardship, and sustainable practices, reminding us of the power of individual contributions toward a common goal.
“Tonight, we come together to honor the individuals and partners who have brought vision, commitment, and community spirit to Tacony Creek Park and beyond. This work doesn’t happen in isolation; it is the result of passionate people who believe in the power of community and the beauty of nature. Each of our honorees has shown an unwavering dedication to making our parks, creeks, and neighborhoods places of pride and resilience.” —— Justin

I Want to thank my family, and my friends, but I also just want to thank everybody who’s here, and who works so hard to make our spaces ecologically sustainable. And I also really want to thank TTF for recognizing that art and creativity are really the critical part of us creating the world that we want to live in, and creating an environment that we want to live in, it is sustainable for all of us. So thank you again.

A Night of Reflection and Celebration
Throughout the evening, we reflected on the importance of each honoree’s contributions, both big and small, that collectively create lasting change in our watershed. TTF’s Executive Director, Justin, shared heartfelt words:
“Tonight, we celebrate the changes we’ve made together and the hope we’re bringing to the community. In 2024, we’ll continue building on this progress. But let’s set our sights even higher—2025 is the year we’re going to reintroduce Tacony Creek Park to the region in a big way. Thank you all for being here, and thank you for believing in this journey”
This year was a “big step.” With the support of our partners, including the William Penn Foundation, and the ongoing dedication of our community, we are moving toward a shared vision of a park where nature flourishes, children play, and families find wellness and joy.
As the evening concluded, we expressed our deep gratitude to our honorees, our partners, and every TTF supporter who has walked this journey with us. Thank you for being part of this mission, and here’s to many more milestones together!
