In case you missed it, we recently took on one of Philadelphia’s biggest tire dumps in parks— over 5,000 tires illegally discarded in Tacony Creek Park.
If you haven’t read that story, start here:
Cleaning it up was a massive, inspiring effort.
But cleaning is only part of the solution.
💡 Meet Tim: First to Act

Tim Voit is a longtime friend of TTF and a regular park cleanup volunteer. After seeing firsthand the damage caused by dumping, he asked a simple question:
“How can I help prevent this from happening again?”
The answer: Install more anti-dumping cameras.
Tim didn’t stop at the question — he made the first donation to help expand our camera program in Tacony Creek Park. Now, he’s inviting others to join him.
“Dumping in Tacony Park has been a problem since I was a Boy Scout hiking the park more than 40 years ago. It’s long past time to stop the abuse of our vital green spaces and I am happy to contribute to the effort to stopping it.”
– Tim Voit
📸 Why Cameras?
Cameras deter dumping. It’s that simple.
We work closely with city agencies to:
-
Install surveillance in hot-spot zones
-
Deter illegal activity before it starts
-
Support enforcement when violations occur
With your help, we can expand this program and protect the clean park we all fought for.
