Join us as we tackle one of the largest illegal dumpsites in Philadelphia!! We’re teaming up with the City of Philadelphia, Office of Clean and Green, Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Water Department, United by Blue, and multiple agencies, to remove illegally dumped tires and clear debris from Tacony Creek Park and the surrounding streets.
This cleanup is a great way to make a real impact! Volunteers comfortable lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) are especially needed to help remove tires. Prefer lighter work? No problem—there will also be opportunities to collect smaller litter with grabbers.

What to Expect:
✅ All cleanup gear provided (gloves, pickers, sleds, trash bags) – but feel free to bring your own gloves if preferred
🥤 Snacks and water available – bring a reusable water bottle; a water cooler will be on-site for refills
👟 Wear comfortable clothing & closed-toed shoes
☀️ Don’t forget sun protection and rain gear (just in case!)
