Join Ryan Neuman from TTF and ecological artist Rebecca Schultz for an interactive workshop exploring the intersection of art and watershed ecology. Discover how Schultz’s site-specific sculpture, A World In Our Streams—commissioned by the Endangered Species Coalition and Friends of High School Park—creates habitat for aquatic macroinvertebrates, and get a close-up look at these fascinating creatures.
Macroinvertebrates, which are insects in their larval or nymph stages, play crucial roles in our ecosystems. Some become pollinators as adults, while others serve as essential food sources. They are also key indicators of the health of our creeks. During the workshop, we’ll examine and identify macroinvertebrates sampled from the sculpture.
This event is open to all ages, so feel free to drop in and spend some time learning with us! Registration is required.Register here.
