We want to show you our award-winning Jenkintown Creek Restoration Project!
Please join us to visit sites where we have restored streambanks and enhanced wetlands, planted hundreds of native trees, and installed rain gardens, all to improve water quality. We have also engaged hundreds of volunteers of all ages.
Most of the tour will be on-foot, with a total walking distance of less than 3 miles. During the walk and at each site, we will have an opportunity to talk about what we’ve seen and to answer questions and discuss challenges, successes, and plans. Sites will include Abington Friends School and Abington Monthly Meeting, Alverthorpe Park, Manor College, McKinley Elementary School, Saint Basil Academy, and the Conklin Pool.
Our tour will finish with lunch and an opportunity for discussion and networking.
