Humans aren’t the only animals shaping our creeks and forests. Beavers are busy cutting down trees and building burrows, lodges, and dams on Philadelphia waterways.

Join Bernard Brown, author of Exploring Philly Nature: A Guide for All Four Seasons, on a walk in Tacony Creek Park to learn how to spot the work of beavers, even when the animals themselves can be hard to see in the flesh.

We’ll also use the Aqua Marooned! card game to explore the creek and the woods around us as we walk.

Come early — at 1 pm — to help us test out our new Tacony Creek Park Explorer Kits!
Share your thoughts about what works and what doesn’t with these fun, family-friendly nature kits developed to enrich visits to Tacony Creek Park. Each family will receive a free kit to take home.
