This month, lend a hand to some of your neighbors who live along the Jenkintown Creek in Abington, PA. We will plant native plants on these residential properties to improve water quality and create habitat along this important headwater creek in your community. This effort is part of our StreamSmart program, which creates opportunities for improved stormwater management on private property in our densely urbanized watershed, where most of the land is occupied by single-family homes. This program educates homeowners about polluted runoff and provides stormwater audits to determine changes to improve runoff and creek health.
Contact Ryan@ttfwatershed.org or 215-744-1853 to register and for the address and information about the property where you will help. Tools and materials provided. Refreshments too!
