Jay Coreano

The Illegal Dumping Ambassador program places community-focused stewards in Philadelphia parks to reduce illegal dumping through outreach, education, volunteer engagement, environmental monitoring, and partnerships that promote long-term care of public spaces.

If you don’t recognize Jay, you’ve probably seen his work. From the colorful murals along the Tacony Creek Trail to the hand-painted trash can lids surrounding Ferko Playground on Cayuga Street, Jay has helped bring creativity to the neighborhood. Whether he’s organizing community events like Birds of a Feather or lending a hand at a cleanup, Jay has been a longtime friend of TTF and many of our neighbors.
Fun Fact: Jay recently published his first children’s book, Slabby Finds His Place, a heartwarming story inspired by the people, wildlife, and beauty of Tacony Creek Park.
