Untitled-1We were so excited to tune in to The Green Hour on 900AM – WURD on August 23 to hear our partners Fran Lawn, formerly with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) and Nancy Minich, NAM Planning & Design, LLC! You can listen here.

Learn more about the PHS Roots to Re-Entry program from Fran. Roots to Re-Entry assists former inmates of the Philadelphia Prison System to find employment, offering the opportunity to learn new skills in landscape management and local food production as well as to gain fulfilling employment upon release. We recognized R2R as a Friend of the TTF Watershed at our Watershed Milestones Award Ceremony & Reception in 2013 because of the program’s leadership in providing Green Stormwater Infrastructure Management training.

Nancy has worked with TTF as our landscape architect on a number of projects, particularly our award-winning riparian buffers in Abington and Cheltenham. In 2012, we honored her as a Corporate Steward at our annual Watershed Milestones event. Nancy discusses the value of horticulture therapy as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Horticultural Therapy Association.
